Q: How and when did you first discover OmniRide?

A: When my wife and I first moved to the country, we used Uber to get around. One day, we saw people getting off a bus and decided to ask them about it; what route it was, where it went, and how much it cost. That’s when we found out the bus was free, which we thought was great news. That same day, we decided to try it ourselves. We took the bus, explored the route, and discovered other routes along the way. That’s how we became familiar with OmniRide.
Q: What route do you take, and where do you typically board?
- A: We usually board the bus at the stop in front of Woodbridge High School, also known as the Vikings. It’s about a 10-minute walk from our house, and we use that walk to get some exercise. We regularly use four routes: 92, 93, 53, and 94. My wife transfers between two buses to get to work.
Q: What are some of the benefits you get from using OmniRide’s services?
- A: There are many benefits. First, the fact that the service is free is a huge help especially for families or individuals trying to save money. The buses are clean, well-maintained, and have accommodations for everyone, including seniors and people with disabilities. The drivers are friendly, respectful, and always willing to help. I remember the first time we used the service, my wife and I got a bit lost, and the driver went out of her way to guide us and make sure we caught our connecting bus. That kind of kindness left a lasting impression on us. For me, as a senior, that human touch and support from the staff really makes a difference. OmniRide has truly made getting around easier and more enjoyable.
Q: Would you recommend OmniRide to others?
- A: Absolutely! From the very beginning, we were impressed by the quality of the service, the buses are reliable, clean, free, and accessible to everyone. We’ve recommended OmniRide to many people in our community, especially those who are new to the area or don’t drive because it’s such an accessible and helpful resource. It’s not just a way to get from one place to another, it gives people the independence and confidence to move around their community. For us, it’s been more than just transportation, it’s been a part of feeling connected and supported in a new place.
